What is FSc Radiology Technology?

Radiology Technology is the science of seeing inside the body without cutting it open. FSc Radiology Technology at RCCS teaches you to position patients for every standard X-ray view (chest, abdomen, extremities, skull, spine), operate fixed and mobile X-ray units, understand radiation physics and protection (ALARA), process images on computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR) systems, and assist in CT and MRI suites. You also learn contrast studies (IVU, barium swallow/meal/enema, angiography basics) and radiation safety monitoring (TLD badges, area surveys).

This is a technician/radiographer qualification — you work under a radiologist. But it is also the universal entry pathway to BS Medical Imaging Technology (MIT) (4-year), where you advance to senior radiographer, CT/MRI specialist, interventional radiology technologist, or imaging department manager.
