What is FSc Dispensing Technology?

Dispensing Technology is the bridge between the prescription and the patient. FSc Dispensing at RCCS teaches you to verify prescriptions, dispense medications accurately with proper labeling, counsel patients on how and when to take medicines, manage pharmacy inventory (ordering, storage, cold chain, expiry tracking), prepare extemporaneous compounds (ointments, mixtures, capsules, suppositories), operate pharmacy management software, maintain controlled drug registers (narcotics, psychotropics), and understand Pakistan’s pharmacy laws and ethics. The FBISE curriculum covers pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, human anatomy/physiology, and hospital pharmacy practice.

This is a dispenser/assistant qualification — you work under a registered pharmacist. But it is also the most common feeder into Pharm-D (5-year), where you become a licensed pharmacist eligible to own a pharmacy, work in clinical pharmacy, pharma industry, regulatory affairs, or academia.
